根据同名畅销小说改编电影，讲述关于私家侦探Varg Veum 的故事，他帮助女友寻找失踪的妹妹。

Svarte f?r (Black Sheep) starts off with a new story and yet a new case for Varg to handle. There a few scenes which depict the life and relationship of Varg with his girlfriend Karin (Lene Nystr?m). As he is dealing with the daily banter of trivial cases, Varg comes to a dead end when he realizes that he actually doesn’t know much about his girlfriend Karin, as he is informed about her sister’s disappearance.

He promises to help and upon investigating, Varg stumbles upon a prostitution racket running high within the city and he goes into a dilemma when he realizes that Karin’s sister is captured by these cynical pimps, is helpless and is working as s prostitute for them. With his further probing into the prostitution matter eventually stirs up a hornet’s nest. And do you what happens when you stir a hornet’s nest… you get stung!

So whether he can go about saving the life of a girl who happens to be the sister of his girlfriend and avoid himself from crossing the path of these underworld thugs (which happens now and then – as his investigations open a new can of worms) forms the crux of the story.
