故事的主人公是一个家庭至上的男人，某天晚上他为了保护家人不受伤害，结果实施正当防卫杀死了夜闯民宅的盗贼。没想到随后他却被判处3年徒刑。

监狱里的日子非常难熬，外面社会的道德准则在这里统统被抛弃。备受折磨的主人公，为了能活着等到出狱的那天，决心改头换面，在可恶而暴力的监狱长和狱友间左右周旋，坚强而隐忍的活下去……
